Thank You!

Dear Friends, Family, and Benefactors,

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for your incredible support of Molly’s Pub 15th Annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting Texas Prader-Willi Association. Your generosity and unwavering support made our event amazing!!

We were blessed with a beautiful, sunny, Fall day, sending out 32 golf teams with some awesome golfers! I am extremely grateful to our sponsor, Molly's Irish Pub, and the Olde City Pub, and their amazing staff. Thank you to our family, friends, sponsors, golfers, volunteers, generous donators, hole sponsors, those who bought a raffle ticket and competitive bidders who supported our fundraising efforts in any way. Your contribution, big or small, ended up raising a very substantial sum! I’m thrilled with the level of kindness and commitment we received again this year.

Thanks to your generosity for our population, we raised over $80,000 and are nearly to our goal of $100,000. Your support ensures that our organization can strive forward with awareness, education, and acceptance of our loved ones with this rare and extraordinarily complex disorder.

In July, we held our 15th Annual People With Smiles (PWS) Camp at Morgan’s Wonderland Camp in San Antonio. The kids had five fun-filled days, while their families enjoyed a well-needed respite. The two PWS-specific group homes in Conroe are at capacity with waiting lists. Our next initiative is to pursue vocational opportunities, so the kids have purposeful, rewarding jobs. Most importantly this past year, the FDA approved VYKAT XR--the first-ever drug directed at hyperphagia, from Soleno Therapeutics. This is a remarkable milestone for all affected by PWS as it targets the extreme hunger, constant thoughts about food and relentless drive to eat, that cannot be satisfied with food. We strongly support the research efforts of Foundation for Prader-Willi Research and the Prader-Willi national organization, PWSA-USA. Some proceeds from this tournament gave us the opportunity to send a small contingent to Washington to help lobby the FDA to approve VYKAT XR to give our PWS kids a better quality of life now. TXPWA’s next bi-annual statewide conference is April 16, 2027, at Cook Children’s in Ft. Worth.

You can see that every dollar matters to us!! With your help, we are changing lives—bringing hope, dignity, and joy to those affected by Prader-Willi Syndrome. We are so grateful for all the support!! Every act of generosity brings us closer to a brighter future.

With heartfelt gratitude,

June Finnerty, President
